If you're ever in Utica, make sure you stop by 'Joes'/'Pellitieri Joes' and a couple of other names. East Utica on Jay (?) St off Bleeker. The best, cheapest, hot, tasty food you can get. If you go get abucket of Utica Club or house chianti, bowl of ziti w/ mushroom stew, antipast, roast peppers. Make sure you put lotsa grated parmesan on the fresh italian bread. All this should run you about $8.00!! Enjoy!! Death to ALL california 'Joes"!! ...JAke

When in Utica, try the subs at the Italian Salumeria on St. James. They bake their bread fresh several times a day, use quality meats and cheeses, and top liberally with roasted peppers--all for a ridiculously low price. And their tomatoe pies (cheeseless pizzas, eaten at room temperature) aren't bad, either.

We called him spaghetti Joe's...One day a week they had Lasagna as I recall. I haven't lived in Utica for over 15 years. It's good to hear they are still in business. Grimaldi's had a nice spread if you were willing to spend a bit more. Are they still around? Joe D.
