Santa Fe: La Tertulia. New Mexican cusine. Very good. Also, Coyote Cafe; Mark Miller cooked at Chez Panisse. Weird stuff using native ingredients. I haven't been there.

Taos: The Burrito Wagon was recommended by Jane & Michael Stern. Haven't been there, and do not know if it's stil around. Lunch only, on the square.

In Between: Take the high road to Taos and turn off at Rancho de Chimayo (in Chimayo.) Have luch or dinner on the patio. Spectacular place, the most scenically located restaurant I've ever been to. Great food too.

In Taos, Michael's kitchen (downtown) great "stuffed sopapillas." At the southern end of town is a place called "Buffalo.... something or other" Pricey (for Taos) but great food, get there early during ski season!
