Also Julians (italian) and Geronimos. For native Northern NM cooking, I think Tomasita's is one of the best in SF. Didn't stop in Gallup or Albuquerque but did enjoy Santa Fe. I triple the recommendation for Coyote Cafe. It's the best creative and well thought out food in the state (IMHO). Also in Santa Fe which we enjoyed: The Shed - great lunch, old building, good sevice The Ore House - kinda touristy cause it's on the plaza, but good food and great service The Home Planet Cafe - good food, nothing fancy but better than most, fun atmostphere (see my article: http://www.suite101.com under the topic Food) Rancho Encantada - North of Santa Fe. Worth the drive. An old inn/hotel with a great dining room. Good food, great sunset views. It is a small place, so you may end up sitting at the big round table with some other people. Great way to meet folks and the food is pretty darned good.
