My favorite is Cafe Spoleto, on San Mateo I believe out beyond Montgomery.
Owned by two guys that used to work at Oliveto in Berkeley/Oakland/RockRidge. Similar Medditerraen/Italian/bistro-style food. Also quite good is Cafe de Las Placitas just north of Albq near Bernallio in Placitas. Italian/Calif cuisine; worth the drive. Scalo Grill is excellent for Italian. The Nob Hill Bistro on Central near the University is great Calif cuisine.
BTW: Bring snow....... it's pretty miserable except for Taos, & even that's
not all that good.

There's a very nice place called the Artichoke Cafe. I can't remember the adress, but Albequerque is not that big. It was recommended to us by a waitress at a nice place in Santa Fe. It's a casual bistro with a French emphasis. I had a very nice duck breast with cherry sauce and yummy mashed potatoes. My husband's swordfish was also very good.
     Bon appetit!
