Sorry that I cannot remember much about the Hotels, but I'd like to offer mu opion on restaurants. Pasqual's Cafe (close to the Plaza) is very unique and popular, although small (great roasted garlic appetizer). Strange as it sounds, the Hilton has (had? - its been a couple years since I have been to SF) a restaurant called the Pinon Grill that was surprisingly good (kinda romantic too).
