Don Pepe's is within walking distance of NJPAC. Less than five minutes away in Harrison is the Spanish Tavern (or Spanish Pavilion, I forget which is the correct name. Be aware that the Spanish Tavern and Spanish Pavilion are two different restaurants).

Interestingly, my Zagat's shows only Casa Vasca (which my wife and I have enjoyed) as having consistently very good ratings. All the other Spanish and Portugese restaurants in the area seem to have both lovers and critics. However, keep in mind that most of these restaurants have been around for a long time. They must be doing something right.
