Yes, AT&T considers Holmdel, Middletown, and Lincroft SOUTH Jersey facilities, but everything's relative - these Bell Labs facilities are the furthest SOUTH within NJ. Besides, I used to live in that area... OK, so what IS Central? Try the counties of Somerset, Mercer, and Middlesex for starters. Some folks also include Union and Hunterdon; and others might add Monmouth and the northern reaches of Ocean. Specific recommendations? Looking only at the "unusual," the following immediately come to mind - more when I fish out my lists: Cassablanca in Hopewell Sahara in Montgomery The Little Thai House in Somerville Two Indian restaurants also come to mind; alas, their names don't: a. Vegetarian place in Edison - serves both North and South Indian specialties b. Place in Aberdeen/Matawan on Route 34 that now begins with A, but used to have another name. Yes, we've eaten at all these places... Helena Robinson AT&T Basking Ridge, NJ
