Exact ditto on Bill's comments. Also, any of the restaurants at the Mirage have great food, especially Kokomo's and Mikado. Steph [email removed]

Try the Coyote Cafe (or its more upscale dining room
adjacent) at the MGM. CC is as good as Red Sage at half the price. But it's noisier than the upscale version, and has a more limited menu.
This may not be "upscale," but do try the Peppermill. It's
perhaps the best coffee shop in the U.S. It is very expensive by L.V. standards, but better than the "gourmet" rooms in most L.V. hotels.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with this. While I will admit that I did not eat at the cafe part of Coyote Cafe, I did eat at the inside restaurant and I found that it did not come CLOSE to the meal that I had at Red Sage last summer. The flavors, the presentation, nothing was even close, except the prices.

Bill--Funny you should say that. I have heard from a few
people that the informal cafe actually has better food than the restaurant. All I can say is that the corn cake appetizer, so memorable at the Red Sage, tasted just as good at the L.V. Coyote Cafe. My carne asade was good (not great), the dessert excellent, and the service better than the Red Sage. The entire dining experience might not be the same (the Cafe's proximity to the casino makes it a less than perfect dining experience--it's a little like eating terrific food in a fast food court)--but I'd go there again in a second. Along w/the Peppermill, it was my best meal on my last trip to L.V.
