Updates since then: Memphis has three locations in town. Santa Fe Station, North LV Blvd, and Warm Springs. NLV location is remodeled. Great root beer on tap. I buy my wood from the same outfit as they do, Allied Wood Products, but it's not the place Ed saw. H&H burned down. The fire was not their fault. Master's Barbecue in Henderson is supposed to be good. It's all hickory. There are a few more places, but I can't verify their "real Q" status. The best Q in town comes from the hunk o' Kamado in my backyard. Buckingham's is a close second.

One is in the Santa Fe Station casino off Craig Blvd. I can't recall the name of the other street, maybe Jones or Decatur, but they are in the phone book. They cook with real wood. You have to go in through the casino to get to the restaurant even if you are getting takeout. http://www.memphis-bbq.com/ You can do as well at home making your own. You will have a hard time getting wood in the desert though. Not far from the Station I saw a couple of big piles sitting in the yard of a supply house. I don't recall the street names, but it is south east from the casino. You can get good doughnuts in LV at Lamar's. Better than KK, IMO. I just can't figure why anyone would voluntarily live in Vegas though. I have to visit a couple of times a year and it is plenty for me. Ed [email removed] http://pages.cthome.net/edhome
