I recommend Carlucci's (hopefully haven't mangled the name too badly) on Tropicana right next door to the Liberace museum. The food there is some of the best inexpensive Italian I've had in LV (or anywhere else for that matter). It's become a regular stop when I'm in town. There is a place on the strip (Harrah's?) that boasts of a Cajun restaurants. I've been a couple of times. It's not bad food, but it's a long way from real Cajun. I would welcome any info on better choices for bayou cookin' in the LV area. Enjoy your trip, and have a safe and happy holiday season. George Chicago Article 4788 of alt.vacation.las-vegas:

Dining in Las Vegas
KPCPA is right about Rio buffet - it's very good and has several ethnic stations to spice things up. My favorite higher-end restaurant is also at Rio. Fiorre is a contemporary place similar to La Rotisserie. _ Wide_ variety of game, grilled seafood and steaks with creative presentation. Minimalistic but elegant atmosphere with nice view of rotisserie and grill area. Small bar inside and terrace for brandy and Churchills (they have a well stocked humidor) after meal. Entres were $15 to $25, I believe. It's on the pricey end and out of the way (taxi from strip) but I think it's worth it. Rio's Italian restaurant was voted best Italian for a couple years in a row, but I've never eaten there. Have fun! Craig Article 4890 of alt.vacation.las-vegas:
