Okay, I grew up in Las Vegas, so I guess that would qualify me as an expert! :) It really depends on how much money you want to spend. As in, if you want to spend a little bit more money to get a lot better food, go to the Golden Nugget in downtown LV. They have the *best* buffet. Excalibur has a pretty good one, but the wait is hours long. Actually, if you're up really late (past 11) the Palace Station, right off the strip on Sahara and the I-15 freeway, has a pretty good buffet (Well, I hope they still do, it's been awhile :)) The Palace Station is also good for gambling. They have lots of nickel slots and $2 blackjack, and they are really friendly, since it is more of a locals thing. One to try for breakfast is the Rio, right off the strip on Flamingo and the I-15. They have a good good brunch! Stay away from the cheezy places (Bob Stupak's Vegas World, Sahara, Holiday, etc.) There are too many good hotels there now, the others just aren't worth it!

Hope this helps!
