"Great"? I'm not sure. But you might try the following: The Majestic, Laclede at Euclid. Best parallel that I can think of in St. Louis to all those family-style Greek (basically diner) places in Chicago. OIympia, McCausland just south of 40 (and very near Michael's, which is actually on Manchester). Greek Gourmet, Ballas at Olive, Creve Coeur. It's Greek to Me on Manchester west of Brentwood, near Carl's Drive-In, has gyros, but I don't remember how good they were. (Only been there once.) Also a part-Greek place on Reavis Barracks just east of 55, but I can't remember the name immediately. Jeffrey F. wrote: >Does anyone know where to get a great Gyros? Xref: alexander.INS.CWRU.Edu stl.dining:465 The Olympia, also on McCausland, is quite good, as is the Majestic cafe at (I think) Euclid and Laclede. Try Olympia, also on McCausland, but closer up by the 40 interchange....Dynamite food. Great place. I eat there all the time. I'm the red-wine-drinking-with-seltzer and reads-a-lotta-books-lady....should anyone ask.
Which of course they won't!!!!

That would be Papa's Steakhouse, but they are in the process of moving to the old MacArthur's Bakery site on Lemay Ferry. Unless they have improved vastly since my last visit, don't bother. DH
