I just had the best burger I have ever had! I can't say that I have tried every restaurant, but I may not need to. The place is called Dooley's Ltd. They do have other items besides hamburgers, but I was told that was what I wanted to try. I had a cheese burger & fries. I know it sounds lame, but if you want a good burger, I do recommend it highly. I believe it was located just East of the Old Post Office downtown, (8th & Olive). I heard that Blueberry Hill has a good burger too, but I haven't gotten there yet. Last month I ate at a restaurant on the landing called Hannegan's. http://www.mooredesign.com/SLFP-Hannegans.htm I had: Hannegan's Irish Stew - $10.95 Tender chuncks of meat and garden vegetables, served in a casserole covered with a pastry crust. This was very good! It was a very cold day and it hit the spot! Another restaurant I frequent often is called Pho Grand, located on Grand just South of Tower Grove Park. Does anyone have any other places I should try? I love eating out. ~ Jeff Ben wrote in message ... >Where is everybody? Doesn't anyone eat out anymore? Do you mean Mai Lee on Delmar? I've had really spotty food experiences there. I ate there one Saturday and had excellent food, went back next Thursday, and it was AWFUL--smelly fish in the soup (and not smelling of fish sauce, either), underseasoned sauces, etc. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant is Xinh Xinh on Olive. It's changed management a few times, but seems stable at present. The food is tasty and more varied than at Pho Grand, and my favorite Vietnamese dish, Bun Bo Hue is better there than anywhere I've had it. Kiwi Carlisle [email removed]
