Guadalajara Café
Fine (authentic) Mexican Cuisine
1144 W. 103rd
Just east of State Line in Watts Mill Plaza
(816) 941-4471

Anytime I talk or write about Guadalajara Café, I know it must sound like I own it. I have no connection with Guadalajara Café, other than being a grateful customer. Guadalajara Café has white table clothes, great authentic Mexican food, and no Tex-Mex. The bar is well stocked and includes many Tequilas. Some of these Tequilas are small batch or estate bottled and rival most brandies.

Margarita, comes in three versions:
      Best in Town
      Best in the Country
      Best in your life.
And they mean it!

You may order 2 different items and they come out looking the same, BUT they each have their own taste. Every dish is different.

The menu has many shrimp dishes including "Camarones Al Chipotle" and Camarones Diablo; as well as chicken and beef.

I went to Guadalajara Cafe last night. It is so wonderful. I had a (not on the menu) Pumpkin Flower Quesadilla. This is a light, complex dish that is full of many flavors. Then I had desert; the menu calls it a fried banana, but what an understatement. Then an after dinner drink that I do not know the name of; authentic Mexican. Made from some fruit that is very sour. After processing the fruit with a lot of sugar, the results are smooth, slightly sweet and NO burn.
