For casual fast food, there is a Boston Market [formerly Boston Chicken] on US-31, very good broasted chicken and side dishes if you've never tried it.

Also there's the Dutch "Queens Table" near the Outlet mall, with waitresses in dutch gowns and wooden shoes. Touristy, corny, but worth a stop for the split-pea soup.

The best restaurant in Holland is a little place called "Till
Midnight." While not cheap at dinner...at lunch you can get by reasonably. Also in Saugatuck, directly south, "Restaurant Toulouse" and "Chequers" are wonderful.

I was born and raised in Holland, Michigan and now live in a nearby city. We eat there often. I have never eaten in the three mentioned above, and have never heard any of my fellow foodies rave about them. The best restaurant in the area, and one that has won many awards in "The Sandpiper" on Lake Macatawa. Beautiful setting, fabulous food, not outlandish prices. My wife and I also like The Auburn. I order their Chicken Fettucine every time I eat there. They make their own salad dressings. Worth a visit.
