I've visited several of the Weathervanes over the years, and when we're looking for value as opposed to fine dining, we're usually satisfied with what we get for what we pay. The quality is not uniform, however, and on occasion we've had overly greasy fried food. We definitely prefer the Weathervane fried seafood to Newick's or Red Lobster. The Weathervane just outside Concord, NH on Rt. 4 was an ideal place for my visiting sister and her small children to satisfy their desire for New England seafood and lobster, with the paper plates, waitresses who kept bringing the kids oyster crackers, and the right super-casual ambience so that nothing the kids could do bothered anyone else! The Weathervane in Nashua is more upscale with plates and stainless! Weathervane in no way compares to Legal Seafoods. My fiance has dreams about Legal's fried soft shell crab sandwich! But when I want fried fish or lobster in the rough, I don't usually want to pay Legal prices. Peggy in Concord NH http://www.mv.com/ipusers/prossing J.
