UVA in Boston (Allston section actually) is most famous for their wines, and in particular the fact that the wines are marked up approx. $ 10 over cost. This is of course a great savings if you plan to enjoy a world class wine in the 40-50-60 dollar range which other restaurants might be selling for twice that amount. The place is fairly small with a formal side and a more casual pizza/Italian side. Food is very good. Owners are not the most friendly people in the world. If I was their consultant I would advise them to stay behind the scenes and not out front. They (with parents) also own a very good restaurant on Cape Cod: the Nauset Beach Club in Orleans. Both restaurants are very good and are highly recommended, especially if you like fine wines. John G.
