 >The food was GREAT

I agree. Sushi Island (7 Princess St. Wakerfield 781-224-3479) is the best
kept secret in town as far as Sushi goes -- top quality Japanese food in a
location you'd never expect. I'm from Japan and I know good Sushi when I
see it. The freshness and preparation was second to none, including the
other larger restaurants in Boston. I would even say that their food tasted
better than the lousy Sushi I ate in Tokyo last year. It all goes to show
that all you need is one good chef.

Thirteen members of this newsgroup met this evening for dinner at Sushi
Island, Wakefield, MA. The food was GREAT and the company was GREATER. Most
of us didn't know each other before this evening and by the time the
appetizers were gone we were all chatting like long lost friends. The food
kept coming from 7:15 pm until about 9:30 at which time we hollered UNCLE.
This is certainly a great way to meet new friends. My thanks to the
organizers for coming up with this idea. We must do it again soon
     Thanks,

Interesting. I work not too far from it, and I visited Sushi Island a
couple of times for lunch. They are very nice people, but the sushi
was so-so to my unsophisticated palette. I much prefer Shino's on
Newbury. It's cheaper, too, which is utterly amazing.

Have you tried Hiro Sushi in Natick? It's on 135, east of downtown
Natick, in a spot that seems to change cuisine (Chinese, Thai, etc)
 every few years.  I had sashimi and tempura.  The sashimi was terrific;
but my favorite tempura is still that made by Seoul House in Newton
 Centre.
