Jae's has very good sushi and you can order it by the boat load. There are
different locations: South End, Theatre District, Cambridge, Atrium Mall.

The Tokyo restaurant near Fresh Pond in Cambridge, MA has an
all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet during lunch on the weekends
that includes some sushi. The sushi is mostly maki (rolls) with a
little nigiri now and then. It cost $12.95 last time we were
 there.

The one place I know of.. no wait... I know of two.. places that offer
 AYCE Sushi:

Suishaya in Chinatown. $25/person. 10 pieces per person at a time. No
sharing. No left over sushi or rice. "You'll be charged double price by
the Host" (I haven't been to this one yet). Nigiri includes unagi,
tobiko, saba, sake, ikura, hamachi, and others. Makis include the usual
plus spider and shrimp tempura makis. They're at 2 Tyler St. Call for
 specifics. 423-3848.

Also, Bisuteki in Revere, Mass. Located at Howard Johnson Hotel.
Basically a Japanese Steakhouse/Teppanyaki place with a small sushi bar.
 Served Mon-Thur. 5-close. Currently $23.95/person (when I first went
there a few months ago, it was $21.95). Good selection.. but everytime I
go the selection changes.. first they had uni.. then they took it off..
last time I went, they had it on again, but of course they were out of
it. Fresh, tasty sushi. Nigiri and makis. Never sat at the sushi bar
here since my wife doesn't like sushi and orders a teppanyaki meal.

Not AYCE, but... Sushi Express in Brookline, 1038 Beacon St. 738-5658
Ongoing specials like your choice 25 pieces Nigiri or Maki sushi for
$20.00. Includes uni. Most pieces only cost a dollar. Have eaten there
twice.. and it's excellent! Great value and great sushi!

 Good eating!

Check out alt.food.sushi especially in Dejanews. Check for posts
about/with Boston or AYCE in either the subject or the body in the
posts to that newsgroup. I know it's been discussed there,
an I think, but I'm not sure, that Sushi Express (on Beacon St.
in Brookline) and Sake (in Saugus) were mentioned as having
AYCE sushi on certain nights. I have not been to either, yet.

The weekend brunch buffet at Tokyo on Fresh Pond was quite nice, but it
isn't just sushi, but has many good things. If you went "just for AYCE
 sushi," you'd be disappointed.

You could also ask on the Boston Sushi Society mailing list.

Email me privately if you want/need instructions of how to subscribe,
and I'll give you the listowner's address and the list subscribe
address. The list isn't very active compared to others I subscribe to.

Talking about $1 a piece sushi... Has anyone tried a little place on
Mass Ave in Arlington called, I think, Tsunami? It's across from Stop
and Shop, offers $1 sushi, $2-4 maki etc. Very small hole in the wall.
I'm curious what others think of its quality.

Tsunami is quite cool. We know Eddie (one of the owners, and chief sushi
chef) from a previous gig, and he is outstanding. Eddie makes the best
 Scallop Maki we've ever had.
