It was romantic for us, anyway.. food is good too (Italian) Another nice place is the recently opened Artichokes in Malden.. near the train station (also Italian)... There is a place in Melrose called Pauli's or Paula's... not sure which.. food is supposed to be excellent.. but I'm not sure of the ambiance or atmosphere... Art

The Beansprout in Malden used to have a piano player on weekend nights, and had very good "light" Chinese food. (Haven't been there since we've been parents.) Just south of Malden Center, about 1/4 mile south of Rt 60 and 1/4 mile east of Rt 28, near the old Registry, for the oldtimers.
