review: tomato city in waltham

Just had breakfast at Tomato City. It's on the corner of Moody and
Crescent in Waltham, across from Cronin's Landing.

The Saturday brunch menu includes pancakes, omelettes, and french
toast ($4.50, $6 with bacon). My cheese omelette was cooked properly,
and came with bland home fries and toast made from a good bread.
Coffee was Starbucks-esque (charred roast). Waiter was new, but good
 and attentive.

The restaurant is fairly new, but I expect this will become a reliable
 and comfortable breakfast spot.

Ambience is a bit fru-fru, but what would you expect from a place
called Tomato City? They occasionally take the cuteness a bit far
(they serve tobasco in tiny pitchers, harder to use than the bottles).

Summary: good boring breakfast food, nice waiters, nice (fru-fru)
 decor, decent breakfast price.
