I just tried a wonderful Turkish restaurant in Boston:

 ISTANBUL CAFE
37 Bowdoin St. (just off Cambridge St., near Gov't Center)
 Boston, MA (Beacon Hill area)

 TELEPHONE: (617) 227-3434
 FAX: (617) 227-4616

 APPETIZER PRICES: $3.00-$4.75
 ENTREE PRICES: $8.50-$9.75
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: none, the restaurant is downstairs
 CHILD FRIENDLY: Yes
 CREDIT CARDS: Yes, accepted
SIZE of restaurant: seats about 35
AMBIANCE: Very nice with authentic Turkish designs (rugs, copper
 artwork, etc.)
 SERVICE: Helpful & pleasant
 FOOD: Absolutely wonderful!

 RECOMMENDED APPETIZERS:
Sigara Borek (thin dough filled with feta
 cheese, rolled into the shape of cigars);
Imam Bayildi (baby eggplants stuffed with a delicious mixture
of onions, parsley, spices, all baked in olive oil).

 RECOMMENDED ENTREES:
Adana Kebab (finely ground beef with spices put
onto a skewer & grilled over charcoal. Served with grilled vegetables,
Turkish-style rice pilaf, & Turkish salad).
Yogurt Kebab (Adana Kebab served with a special yogurt sauce that
is uniquely Turkish & is a MUST TRY!)

 RECOMMENDED DESSERTS:
Baked rice pudding -- made the traditional Turkish way.

 GENERAL COMMENTS:
Istanbul Cafe's food is very authentic (I have been to Turkey several
times) and delicous. Prices are very reasonable too. You really
should try this restaurant -- it is head & shoulders above most of
the typical Middle Eastern restaurants in the Boston area.
