My wife and I took our three kids to Christine's (http://www.capecodmenu.com/christin.htm) in West Dennis recently; it's only a fifteen or twenty minute drive from Hyannis down Rte 28, and well worth it. They had a kids' menu, and if you spot a Kids On Cape guide at the grocery stores, Dunkin' Donuts, etc., you may even be able to find some "kids eat free" coupons. They also have private function rooms, so if you're gonna have a big crowd, they might be worth looking into. The food is basic surf and turf with an emphasis on Lebanese dishes as well, and it's worth noting that the menu at the link above is not complete. We started out with the Lebanese sampler for an appetizer, which had hoummos, grape leaves, a meat and spinach pie, kafta, kalamata olives, and pita. All very tasty. They had plenty of other stuff on the menu, too, including chicken wings, shellfish, bread, potato skins and so on. For dinner my wife had the prime rib (not listed), which she said is the best she's had since the last time we went to Bishop's -- it was perfectly medium with surprisingly little fat or gristle. I had the kafta, (seasoned ground lamb and beef, grilled) served on a bed of almond rice with pine nuts, which was fabulous. The kids ate ravioli and chicken fingers, and liked their stuff too. Dessert was similarly great -- the kids got strawberry shortcake, served up with dense, sweet homemade whipped cream, while we split a chocolate thing that combined mousse, morsels and cake together. The waiter was attentive and polite, but we visited on a Sunday afternoon when the place was lightly populated, so I can't speak to the service during peak hours. The place also has a large lounge where they do live music several nights a week. It was a bit on the pricey side ($80 after all was said and done, with discounts for the kids), but well worth it for a nice night out, imo.
