I thought it would be horrific moving to Worcester after living in Boston, but Wormtown does have its share of decent restaurants. Here's a few off the top of my head:

Sakura Tokyo: Japanese restaurant (yes, those table-frying, shrimp flipping places) with OK sushi.

Sahara: Middle Eastern cafe, funky enough that it reminded me of a few places in Somerville.

El Basha: Middle Eastern (on Rt 9, just west of White City). Very casual, and very small. Good food though.

Ping's Garden: Best Chinese I've had in Worcester (that's a low hurdle tho!). Typical Szechuan fare, doesn't compare to Chinatown in Boston.

Sole Proprietor: IMHO better than Legal's.

Thyme's Square on Hudson: Haven't actually tried it, but it's come _highly_ recommended.

As you can see, there's a wide variety of restaurants in Worcester (where the sun always shines). My 'reviews' aren't very long, but these are all good places (except for TSoH) from the perspective of a former Hub dweller.

I have to put in another plug for Sahara, it's owned by an old friend of mine who I hadn't seen in YEARS, so a friend and I stopped by last weekend. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere can't be beat.... we keep telling him it's way too good for Worcester :) It's on Highland St. in the old Alan Bilzerian store. Enjoy!
