I recall that someone recently asked about Todd English's restaurant in Martha's Vinyard. Todd and Olivia English are the proud owners of Figs and Olives in Boston (Charlstown to be exact), my two favorite restaurants. I have just returned from a trip to the Vinyard and have eaten in the English's restaurant. It is called Isola and is located in Edgertown. Technically, the restaurant is owned by Kam Nealy, the English's, and some move stars (I think Michael J. Fox is one of them). If you go, expect a menu very similar to Olives in Boston that has plenty of fresh fish specials. The service and overall atmosphere are likewise quite similar. One major difference was the prices. An average entre cost $26.00 as opposed to $18.00 at Olives. I personally believe that the prices were jacked up for the height of the tourest season in August. The other major difference is that unlike Olives, Isola takes reservations!!! As usual, our meals were excellent, creative, beautiful, and ample.
