Mt Vernon St, one block uphill from Charles St. We went there for my birthday dinner. My wife had the Sultani with two different nicely spiced lamb variations with rice and I had the Sturgeon with roast potatoes and grilled vegetables. Absolutely marvelous! We started off with a shared salad and a shared appetizer of olives & walnut pate'. My wife liked the pate but I thought it was unbelievably excellent! We had the same divurgance in regards to one of the desserts. They have a sorbet made from rose water and lime with threads of rice noodles that is next to heaven (IMHO). Because it was my birthday, they gave us a dessert sample that had the sorbet, a marvelous saffron icecream and baklava. The icecream was my wifes fave as was the fruit/cream custard 'Fereni'. The baklava was quite sweet but (IMHO) had a much higher flavour to sweetness ratio than most, so was quite good.

La laRohk
I really enjoyed Lala Rokh too. I went there after posting to ne.food asking for restaurants that weren't horribly loud and crowded. They have a lovely floorplan, lots of small rooms with tables comfortably placed. The food is terrific, and it's not even too expensive.
