    Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to a trip to Boston. From my last trip, I remember
the Italian quarter in the North of Boston with lots of good-looking
restaurants side by side. We choose one arbitrarily and were
satisfied, but could someone recommend a special place?

    Thanks, Christine

I liked Giuffre's on the corner of Cross and Salem, but they're under
 new management, so I don't know how/if it's changed.

L'Osteria on Salem always gets good reviews.

I've had lunch at Il Panino on Parmenter. I always get the gnocchi...
 it's quite good.

La Famiglia on Salem is sort of the bellybuster bargain place. Not
to put it down in the least -- the food's very good. But the emphasis
is most definitely on quantity. Furthermore, it can be quite crowded
 at times...it's very popular.
