Two great Italian Rest come to mind, but not in Cambridge, they are in
Boston in the North End. Mamma Maria's Rest next to the Paul Revere House
is a great intimate place in sort of an old house setting. Parking is the
only drawback, but a cab would be perfect and the maitre'D can call you one
after dessert. Fresh ingredients, made with care, Entrees $12-$25 but well
worth it. Nice wine list. Reserv. a must. The other rest. is also in the
North End on the second floor of Washington st and Causeway st where
Polcari's used to be. The Brink's Garage parking is 100 yards down Causeway
St.Oh yeah the name of it is Filippo's and features an eclectic cuisine
that is neither or both northern and southern Italian. Exquisitley
decorated including the ceiling. It is the Cistine Chapel of food. Look up
when your are seated. Fish fowl pasta they are all uniquely prepared and
 served leisurely. Enjoy. Mangia!
