I'll throw in a couple things from opposite ends of the spectrum. Two
pretty good bars with decent food are Whiskey's (10 cent wings on
Wednesdays) and the Pour House (half price specials most nights.) Both
of these are on Boylston Street, 2 or 3 minutes walking from your hotel.
If you're willing to spend, try the Oak Room at the Fairmount Copley
Plaza. Fantastic food, portions, and presentation, although the service
can be a bit spotty for the price you pay. Also toward the higher end,
but more affordable than the Oak Room, is the upstairs restaurant at
Joe's American Bar & Grill, on Newbury at (I think) Dartmouth, also very
 close to your hotel.
