  Consider the Beansprout, a few blocks south of Malden Center.  Nouvellish
 (light) Chinese, live piano player on weekends.

  But remember that greater Boston is very small  -- you'll be 15 minutes
 drive from Davis Sq Somerville (which gets a lot of play in ne.food, eg
 Gargoyles) and a short train ride, as you planned, to Boston itself.
