i have never eaten there for lunch. i would expect it to be around $10
given their dinner entree prices are about $14-22. walk by and look at
the menu. as for speed again, at dinner they are average for a high end
restaurant. not slow or fast. you will just have to try it and see.

other good lunch places around there are thailand cafe, bay state
lobster and the arlington diner. have you tried them?

i agree that sweet chili in the center is better than the thai cafe.
bay state does plates and boxes of fried and broiled seafood, so it
qualifies for lunch but takeout only. they don't even stay open later
for takeout dinners. i think they close at 7pm.

2 blocks south on mass ave. decent greek/american diner. i like andros
 in belmont/waltham waverley sq. better.

i have seen that. i don't work near there so i haven't tried it.

I tried Thai place with varying results (prefer Tai place across from
AuBon Pain and Starbucks). Bay State Lobster seems to me more of a
retail shop, I got some stuffed clams there, they were OK. Where is
 Arlington Diner, exactly?
BTW, strange but true. Wild Harvest on rt 16 serves some descent
 sandwiches and very nice pasta.
