A couple months ago, a new Indian restaurant opened in the Worcester area. It's at 97 Boston Turnpike Rd (rte. 9) in the Quinsigmond Plaza (right by Petco).

I'm not sure how to do a restaurant critique, but I felt I just had to spread the news. The food is just wonderful. It's certainly on par with House of India on Park Ave.

We've tried the Kashmiri Rogan Josh, Palak Panir, Aloo Chutney Wale, and Shaahi Panir. All totally wonderful. The coconut soup's great, too.

The decor's nothing to cheer about, but the service is impeccable.

The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the puffy bread.

They have a $5.95(?) luncheon buffet - I think that's what they're advertising. Route 9 isn't a pleasant excursion during lunch hour so I haven't attempted it yet.

Well, I sat waiting for my take-out tonight and everything coming out of the kitchen smelled divine.

I recommend you check it out.
