Give me some details >and >>what to order ;) There are two restaurants in Brewster which have terrific writeups. They are Chillingworth and the Bramble Inn. We ate at Chillingworth. It is a sprawling Cape Cod place with several different rooms. The cuisine is French. The food, wine, and service was excellent. Don't be fooled by the menu. The meals are priced by the entree, and includes a soup, salad, lemon ice palate cleanser, entree and dessert. You may see a veal chop for $75, but, as I said, it will include all of the above. Call in advance. They are a seasonal restaurant, and may not be open. I have also wanted to go to the Flume in Mashpee (just north of Hyannis), and hope to yet. Mashpee is a town run by the same Indians who were native to the area when the Pilgrims landed. The Flume was also in the same Gourmet article as the other two restaurants. For a casual time just outside Hyannis (by the airport) is Mildred's Chowder House. They have great lobster rolls and chowder. Nice place for an easy and cheap lunch. The Road House is also a nice place right in Hyannis. They serve very good lobster bisque and seafood. Have fun. Jim M.

I lived on the Cape about 10 years ago, but just read in a paper that the following great fried dinner spots were still in existence: In Dennisport on Rte 28-Kream 'n Kone In Dennis on Rte. 6A (used to be Hinckley's Home Ctr. across the street)-Captain Frosty's. There was another one mentioned on Rte. 6a in Dennis called Judy's or Jenny's that was highly recommended.
