I'm sure there are many good restaurants. But one that I remember well is called Chillingsworth (508 896.3640). It is on Route 6A in Brewster. We read a good review of it in a magazine. The setting is near the water in an old house. Very charming. The food was excellent and they had a great wine list. The owners spent time visiting the tables. We had a long conversation with them about California wines and restaurants. All in all a delightful evening. I would highly recommend Chillingsworth. bad Torii C. wrote: > Hi All, > Anyone live in the Cape Cod area and would like to suggest their > favorite restaurant and the reasons why? > > I would love to here you.

I would highly recommend |> Chillingsworth. Seconded. My parents (who have reasonably good taste in food, and are willing to pay for it) go to Chillingsworth for special occasions. I haven't been there myself in many years, though. Somewhat less expensive, but still quite good (and one that I can attest to) is "High Brewster", 924 Satucket Rd, also in Brewster, (508 896-3636). I've eaten there several times during the past 5 years, generally it was quite good. (Note: not exactly cheap!) Sorry for the lack of recommendations outside of Brewster. It's a moderately long drive from Woods Hole. -Jeff
