Another nice one is the Northeast Brewing Company in Brighton. It's on Comm Ave near Harvard Ave. I really enjoy their brews. My favorite is the red ale (I forget its cutesy name). Also, please pester them to make some more of the whisky porter! I miss it. It's a lovely rich strong porter with hints of chocolate and whisky. I haven't had any food there yet. Another reason to go is that they host a lot of local musicians during evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. (And if you don't mind the plug, I'll add a footnote that on November 28 I'll be playing piano with a quartet for the Sunday jazz brunch. 11-3. Thanks.) Brewpubs
Peter, The best selection of beer is at the Sunset Grill in Allston with over 100 brews on tap, but 90% of them I have no interest in. Gourmet magazine just named Redbones in Somerville the most fun restaurant in the Boston area. They have what I consider to be the second best beer selection, and better food. Try their buffalo shrimp, once named the best appetizer in Boston. My favorite brewpubs are The Back Bay Brewing Company on Boylston, and the Cambridge Brewing Company in Kendall Square. Brew Moon has pretty good food, but I'm not terribly impressed with their beers. You might have fun trying all of them! Peter L. wrote: >I will be in the Boston area in a few weeks.
