We really enjoyed the food, service, outdoor seating & moderate prices. All around winner. Except for the clientelle - mostly tour groups, possibly convention go-ers, shouting across the room, table-hopping, etc, quite annoying. We arrived at 7:30 & there was a 1 hr wait for a table inside but most of the tables outside were empty. Watching the antics of the valets & the cars absolutely aiming directly for them was humorous. Located in the Collonade Hotel, huntington Ave. Valet parking extensive martini menu ($8) for those interested nice wine list, leaning heavily on the French types - judging by the bottles I have at home I'd say they double, not triple, the price $1.75 ea for the raw bar - nice selection of oysters (didn't try any) $6-7 for appetisers $15-18 approx for main dishes approx $4 for soups Traditional bistro menu - some Provencal dishes, a lot of Alsacian dishes, smattering of general French portions vary - I had the liver & onions in Madeira sauce w/mashed potatoes - huge. My husband had the Provencal cod - small, but he wasn't very hungry anyway. Extremely competantly prepared reduction sauces, basic dishes tastily prepared - not American-French (ie "Continental") food but true French. And for those who like variety meats (that thread *was* on this ng right?) Tues special is Beef Tongue, there's veal kidneys on the regular menu & the aforementioned Calve's Liver & Onions in Madeira Sauce which is so good this confirmed veggie-eater cleaned her plate. We had to run so we didn't try any of the wonderful looking starters or desserts but we'll be back. Someone a while back asked about cassoulet - its the Thurs special.
