Boston ->cafe liberty!

There's a great place on Mass Ave in cambrige called Cafe Liberty.

Central square T stop, walk 2-3 blocks toward MIT. Cafe Liberty is
located next to the Radio Shack at 491 Mass Ave.

Cafe Liberty has free T1 speed Netscape & telnet access, coffee, teas and
baked goods (heck, they might even have food). Cybersmith is lame,
expensive, and unfriendly by comparison. Liberty is utterly unlike Cybersmith,
so if you've gone to CS and felt burned go to Liberty and be refreshed!

Strangers are friendly at Cafe Liberty and I have met 6 strangers
in 2 visits. A note on the social dynamic: I'm male and I've met 3 men,
and 3 women. Average age is perhaps 22+, but I've seen people in suits in
 there too.

The physical environment: The owners "have Jeffersonian ideals" and it shows
in the library, couches, and attitude of the place. They recently switched to
non-smoking because there was inadequate ventilation.

Utterly gorgeous egyptian and gnostic painted interior. Some fake
backlit stained glass windows. Bathroom done in Euclidian Geometry
with some great math puns. At least that's what I think they are...

A crowd accumulates in the evening, and the 3 free computers
are stacked after about 5. (20 min+ wait for access in the evening)

Hours are 10-1 seven days a week.

I don't work there or know the owners. I am just excited by the
simplicity, friendliness and quality of the place. The coffee
is pretty good too. Go there.

 Treon, Via Adam

P.S. Easily the most 'authentic' place I've been to in Boston (Cambridge).
