Great Barrington has a thriving restaurant scene (as befits a rapidly gentrifying town?), and one meat/nonmeat venue I can recommend is Helsinki. This tiny place is tucked away in the middle of downtown and can be accessed only through the interior parking area. (Ask a native.) They specialize in Russian food (not Finnish!) and do a wonderful job of it. Great atmosphere too. Peter Dorman
