It's sort of what I want, but unfortunately the food was incredibly greasy. They actually deep fry BEEF for some dishes. My son ordered a "gordito" and it was described as a very thick tortilla stuffed with whatever you ordered. The idea was great, but that thick tortilla was deep fried and came out exactly as if you had taken a bulky rollmade from masa and soaked it in oil. Well I must admit, grease aside, we will probably eat there again... big mounding plates full of various saucy smothered food items truly beckons, oil or not. Actually what I really have in mind is a Picante type restaurant, but with Mexican platter in addition to their great California/Mexican style burritos. (Located, by the way near Central Square in Cambridge and in Davis Square in Somerville). Picante, venga a Lexington por favor!
