No one likes the same thing so I'll TRY a little description for each place: Inner Harbor Almost corporate but still comfortable at $20-30 ea. for a big nice meal is the Chart House. I've always found their quality good. You'd feel best with a sport jacket on, i think. Great seafood and steak. Right beside the aquarium. Rusty Scupper (across harbor from Aquarium - walkable) has real nice happy hours with a view that is hard to beat - right on the water. Probably not so respectable in the meal area. If it is still open, Windows, in the Legg Mason/Stouffer complex is spectacular fancy with a great view. Price isn't much more than Chart House. If you are dressed to the nines (in a conservative way) and you like good polished lap-dog service, you'd probably like this. 7 Blocks North of Inner Harbor on Charles (west side) Louie's Bookstore Cafe (On Charles in Mt. Vernon) is much less expensive and fun to browse. Sometimes a little music. Pretty artsy, cool crowd. Weird and Progressive selection of books and reading stuff. Less phancy meals. Hollins Market Hip mexican (not really mexican) phood at Menkin's Culutured Perl. You get crayons with your beer at the table. Park south of the restaurant. Fells Point. REAL LATINO food at a ungodly cheap price with decor of the real thing - can't remember the name, but it is about one block east of Broadway on the north side of Eastern. You won't forget this meal Delicious. Just down the road (another block east) from this latino place is a great place called Funk's Democratic Coffee Spot. I can't get enough of it. Peter's Inn, Red Front, usually a motorcyle will be parked outside, just south (two blocks? naw!) of Funk's. Small selection of great and healthy entrees with very nice suprise additions. The bar dominates the small room but it has a very homey feeling. From Peter's Inn, walking south into Fells Point is John Stevens. If you like shrimp and american (safe) sushi and beer, you'd like this place. Quiet dining room if you push past the bar area. Little Italy I don't really like the more established places as much as I like the new upstart on the block: Amichi's. There is an overachieving chef in the back who turns out masterpiece taste in a cozy, friendly dining room. Staff is quick, young, and cheerful. Prices are smaller for smaller amounts and (in my opinion) better in taste. Anyway. There it is.... Enjoy Hon.
