Hi Tony.
There are a few good places to go to in the Hagerstown area. The best
Chinese I have ever eaten (and i have eaten a lot of Chinese in many cities) is in downtown MArtinsburg WV, a short 20/25 minute drive from Hagerstown (if you like to shop you can visit all the outlet stores while you are in MArtinsburg). This place is pretty reasonably priced. Great chinese and great egg rolls! Another good place to go to in Hagerstown is Nick's Airport Inn. They have good seafood and steaks as well as other American food. A little more expensive than you average restaurant chain, but worth every penny. You could try Rocco's in Hagerstown for Italian. Not the best place in the world, but pretty good all around. If you want to tke another short drive to Shepherdstown, WV (again another 20/25 minutes away), you could try the Yellow Brick Bank serving American (steaks, pasta, chicken, seafood, fish) which is excellent or the Old Pharmacy which has lots of wonderful sandwiches, salads and entrees for dinner. If you have any other questions, feel free to get back with me.
