CJ's suggestions were great. I can also suggest Le Moyne's Landing at the river end of Canal and Poydras streets at Spanish Plaza. It's greenhouse style place with outdoor seating as well. I like it because you can sit and listen to some music (in the late afternoons on weekends), eat some grub, and see the traffic pass by on the Mississippi just feet away. It's one of the only places in New Orleans where you can do that.
