Better late than never - but what better time to discuss food than the day before Thanksgiving! ;-) Anyway, I've been walking around with these two lists for weeks, so I'd better post them now that I have enough time... We couldn't limit ourselves to a Top 10, so our numbers will appear a little weird. Criteria was simple: A place we've visisted at least once within the past 5 yrs where we enjoyed the food, service, etc. enough to want to return again (and again and again...) Restaurants are "ranked" only in the order in which we came up with them. So, the first list consists of our Top 20 New Jersey restaurants: 1. Ryland Inn, Whitehouse 2. Dennis Foy's Townsquare, Chatham (haven't tried the shore place) 3. Dining Room at The Hilton at Short Hills, Short Hills 4. Black Swan, Scanticon at Princeton 5. Frenchtown Inn, Frenchtown 6. Anton's at the Swan, Lambertville 7. Frog & The Peach, New Brunswick 8. Stage Left, New Brunswick 9. Panico's, New Brunswick 10. Bernards Inn, Bernardsville 11. Giraffe, Basking Ridge 12. La Fontana, New Brunswick 13. Culinary Renaissance, Metuchen 14. Le Petit Chateau, Bernardsville 15. Lahiere's, Princeton 16. Fromagerie, Rumson 17. Farmingdale House, Farmingdale 18.
