Be sure to call ahead to make sure of the hours, prices, and get directions. Even places not marked as on a bus or trolley route, may be, so call and ask.
Remember to check the Yellow Pages. There is usually a "Restaurant Guide" sorted by cuisine. Check for: Health Foods, Natural Foods & Vegetarian. Also for national cuisines that might have vegetarian options: Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Lebanese, Middle East, Thai, Vietnamese.
