For casual dining, if you like fish, don't miss the KingFish. A real institution. Several locations. And Kunz, The Dutchman is a steakhouse that's maybe 80 yrs old. Downtown on 4th St. Very good raw bar. We ate there (again) about two years ago. Any outstanding restaurants in Louisville, KY?
Gina, I frequently travel to Louisville on business and always look forward to eating there. Here are a few of my favorites: Mayan Gypsy - absolutely outstanding, creative cuisine from the Yucatan and Central America. Don't go looking for Tacos & burritos. Viet Nam Kitchen - obvious what type of food. Hole in the wall, but clean & friendly. De La Torre's - Spanish. As in from "Spain." Fantastic paella. Lilly's - Nouveau American. Haven't been there for awhile. A gem of a web site for Lousiville restaurants is by a local woman at: http://www.louisvillehotbytes.com/ Have fun. I think Louisville is a great place. Friendly people, easy pace, pretty and terrific eating.
