This is not entirely true. There are some really tasty, creative restaurants in Jerusalem. I generally try to stay away from the Ben Yehuda area if I want good food (too touristy and expensive), but two of my favorites are located right off Ben Yehuda on Rehov Solomon. Luigi's has good Italian food that rivals some of my favorites here (I especially like their cream of fresh tomato soup). Next door, Etnachta has great salads (the Etnacta salad has the best cheese in Israel--where do they buy it?) and tasty light meals. --Alyssa From X Sat Apr 23 08:54:10 EDT 1994 Article: 8326 of rec.food.restaurants

If you are looking for expansive ones, try "Ocean" ("Ok-Ya-Noos" in Hebrew). It is one of the most expansive restaurants in Israel, and is considered quite good.
