my friend and i came across a chinese restaurant with good food and excellent service in clonmale quite by chance two sundays ago. we were on a bus trip from kilkenny to cork and had a 30-minute stopover in the town. the restaurant's just across the road from the bus stand. it's called pagar. when we told the staff we had a connecting bus to catch, they whipped up an ala-carte meal for two within 10 minutes. this, they did cheerfully despite our (lower-end) vegetarian orders and the brisk business they were handling. so we had a nice authentic cantonese lunch, with enough time to catch our connecting bus. kudos to pagar and its staff!
