There is a place in the Circle Center Mall called Gibson's Grill,
*fantastic* dinners ranging from $15 to $30 a person, great wine selection, etc. It's straight up the escalator above the food court, you wouldn't think of it as a place you'd find in a mall.
DineSite usually does a decent job for us when we are looking at cities, check out http://www.dinesite.com/usa/IN/Indianapolis/.
Enjoy,
Stace

Restaurants in Indianapolis??
NNTP-Posting-Date: 12 Apr 1999 23:41:33 GMT X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.04 [en]C-WorldNet (Win95; I) Xref: alexander.INS.CWRU.Edu rec.food.restaurants:44730 St. Elmo's is an old fashioned steak house. Steak is great. Salad is a hunk of iceberg with thousand island and the rest of the dinner is a baked potato with sour cream. I was last there with a group of women and we didn't feel exactly welcome in this classic business men's hangout. The Canterbury Hotel next door used to serve a classic afternoon tea which was very nice. (The Canterbury is also famous as the place where Mike Tyson, no, let's not get into that.) It's been a couple years since I've been there, lived there. For an old fashioned Jewish deli experience try Shapiro's downtown. They have a "nicer" place up on the north side which is where all the new trendy and chain places are. 86th st. Broad Ripple is a cool neighborhood. Good Greek place, good Indian place, excellent contemporary pizza place ( you know what I mean, shrimp asparagus goat cheese pizza, etc.) Several nice bars, including one that brags about it's extensive menu of beer. Wander around, check out the galleries, the shops, the mystery bookstore, the ducks. (David Letterman went to Broad Ripple HS BTW.) The revolving restaurant on the top of the Hyatt Regency downtown has expensive and fair food, but the view day or night is worth the price once in a while. I've heard good things about Saint Elmo's Steak House downtown; it's been there almost 100 years. There are a number of good places in the Broad Ripple area to the north. I only visit there about once a year, so I don't remember names.
