On the southeast corner of Lawrence and Talman there is a very good restaurant named "Korean Restaurant" (Its only other sign says "Open 24 hours".) It has a large and varied menu and serves more varieties of 7 vegetables than the other places I've been to (including dried tiny silver fish in a sweet glaze). It also has a bar and does not take plastic. The clientele used to be almost exclusively Koreans and their guests. It's still preponderantly Korean, but there are more Americans there now (that it's been mentioned here, maybe?). A few doors east is a very new Korean restaurant - it used to be a Korean disco, but the owner remodeled it and changed it into a restaurant - Popeye Korean Restaurant (Its other sign is "24 hours open" and its easy to miss the "Popeye"). I've been there once and had quite good buckwheat noodles in warm broth. This one also has a bar and doesn't take plastic.
