is in Chinatown on 24th street. I went there a couple of nights ago with two friends, based on recent recommendations in this newsgroup supplimented by a recommendation from someone I met in Peoria. I figured if the reputation had made it to Peoria, it was worth checking out.

The minestrone is...how shall I put this...I suppose "superb" will do. I had sicilian steak - okay but the winner on my plate was the brocolli rabe, sauted in garlic & olive oil. My friend with the lasagne made a good choice but the lasagne was lukewarm, as seems to be the case everywhere. My friend with the shrimp linguine also made a good choice.

This is old style southern Italian, sicilian, I suppose, with a bar down one side & the Bulls game on the TV.

The bill for the three of us was 70 bucks, but that included a 24 dollar bottle of wine.
